Are the media entirely to blame for the pressure that is being put on to girls and women to have surgery and alter their features? Are the media entirely to blame for the constant use of size zero models in magazines and on the runway? Or does the issue strecth back further then we think?
People believe that the media are the 'bad guys', that all they want to do is exploit people for what society claims is not the norm or for anything that we can be judged on.
On my blog I am going to brodcast in various ways both sides to the story, so feel free to post any comments, viewsd and opinions.

Who is it that we should be blaming for the pressure put on us to alter the way we look? Celebrities? Education? Media? I think it's down to a bit of everything. We're not educated properly in school, we believe everything the media tell us to believe, and we look up to celebrities therefore follow their actions.

What is the craze with celebrities altering their natural features? Do they not realise that us, the general public, look up to some of them as role models and as people whom we aspire to be? It may not be intentional but their actions are affecting us. We have enough pressure from the media to look like celebrities and then the surgery bomb is dropped on us!
